One of the biggest updates since the iPhone was debuted, iOS 5 offers a number of improvements, including subtle notifications, wireless syncing, and OTA updates. The notifications system is a huge improvement over the past, where users were interrupted with a big, blue box in the middle of the screen. Now, users have a drop-down menu (think Android here) and notifications show up at the top of the display.
